Northumberland Businesses Invited to Celebrate Rural Success at Alnwick Garden
Businesses from across Northumberland are invited to come together this March to celebrate the strength, resilience and innovation of rural enterprise at a special event hosted at The Alnwick Garden.
Taking place on Thursday 12th March 2026, the Northumberland Small Business Service (NSBS) and Rural Asset Multiplier Programme (RAMP) closing and celebration event, Rural Northumberland Business Celebration Event will mark the culmination of two programmes that have supported hundreds of local businesses to start, grow and adapt in a changing economic landscape. The event will bring together business owners, programme participants, partners and stakeholders to recognise achievements, share success stories and look ahead to the future of business support in the county.
The Northumberland Small Business Service (NSBS) and Rural Asset Multiplier Programme (RAMP) are delivered by Northumberland County Council. The project is part funded by the North East Combined Authority and the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Rural England Prosperity Fund, with the North East Combined Authority as the lead authority
Set against the iconic backdrop of The Alnwick Garden, the event will showcase the real impact of NSBS and RAMP on Northumberland’s rural economy. Attendees will hear directly from local businesses about their journeys, the challenges they have overcome, and how targeted support has helped them unlock new opportunities, innovate and grow.
The celebration is designed to be both reflective and to look forward. Alongside highlights from the programmes, delegates will gain insight into what comes next for enterprise support in Northumberland, with opportunities to connect, collaborate and continue building momentum.
With time built in for informal networking, the event offers a valuable chance for business owners to meet others facing similar opportunities and challenges, share ideas, and strengthen connections within the local business community.
Speaking ahead of the event, Lucy Evermore, Programme Manager of NSBS said,
“This celebration is about recognising the determination and creativity of Northumberland’s businesses. NSBS and RAMP have supported enterprises in every corner of the county, and this event is a chance to come together, celebrate what’s been achieved, and look confidently towards the future.”
