Opportunity for manufacturing SME’s to capitalise on fully funded exhibition space
Written by Business Northumberland
Business Northumberland are now accepting applications from Northumberland based manufacturing businesses to capitalise on fully funded exhibition space and exhibit at a major industry conference in June.
Taking place at the NEC Birmingham over three days, SubCon is firmly established as the must-attend event for manufacturing buyers across all industry sectors, who are looking to source suppliers, benchmark capabilities and secure the right partners to help them remain competitive in a global market. With over 350 different suppliers from over 20 different countries in attendance, exhibiting at SubCon will give Northumberland businesses an opportunity to showcase themselves on an international scale.
Applications are now being accepted through the [Business Northumberland website] and in order to be eligible, businesses must be catergorised as a SME (Small to Medium Enterprise), defined as having less that 250 full time equivalent employees and an annual turnover of less than 50 million Euros (approx. £40 million). Applicants must also be able to demonstrate a desire to grow their business and capitalise on the opportunities available as a result of attending SubCon.
Successful applicants will benefit from fully funded exhibition space across all three days of the event and will be supported by Business Northumberland staff, who will provide support and facilitate meeting and networking opportunities over the course of the exhibition. Terms and conditions apply and applications close on Friday 16th March at 5pm.
Richard Wearmouth, Chair of Arch said, “We have a strong manufacturing sector in Northumberland and it’s fantastic to be able to illustrate that. Last year’s event was visitied by over 4,000 people so we are offering businesses a great opportunity to publicise what they do and build their network across the sector. We are hoping to give six businesses the opportunity to attend SubCon with us and by bringing businesses together, we will be able to showcase Northumberland as a great place to do business.”
The Business Northumberland programme is a support programme delivered by a team of experts, who provide businesses with 1-2-1 support, to help them to understand their growth needs and implement an action plan to achieve their growth aspirations. The programme also runs a diverse variety of workshops across the county. Business Northumberland is match funded by the England European Regional Development Fund and Arch, so there is no cost to eligible businesses.
The £1.3m funding secured for Business Northumberland includes Arch’s own funds and match funding of £698,599 received from the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.
