Advance Northumberland is now accepting applications from advanced manufacturing and engineering businesses from across Northumberland to capitalise on fully-funded exhibition space and showcase at a major industry conference in June.

Taking place at the NEC Birmingham, SubCon is seen as one of the must-attend events for manufacturing buyers across all industry sectors, with more than 350 different suppliers from more than 20 different countries in attendance.

Advance Northumberland is looking to showcase investment opportunities and the strength of the supply chain manufacturing cluster in Northumberland by offering a platform for businesses operating in the supply chain that are looking to grow or diversify their business.

The best of British manufacturing will be on display at SubCon alongside a wealth of market leading international suppliers all looking to help UK manufacturers optimise their supply chain. Visitors include key decision makers from a range of industries including automotive, aerospace, electronics, energy, rail, oil and gas and defence and security. The exhibition receives around 4,000 visitors and over 400 exhibitors, with 70% of visitors attending finding new suppliers/solutions. The show is taking place from 4th to 6th June 2019 at Birmingham NEC.

Advance Northumberland will be hosting the Northumberland Pavilion and is offering space for five Northumberland based manufacturing and engineering companies to attend.  Each organisation will have an individual stand, with support from the Advance team both leading up to the show, during and post exhibition.

Applications are now being accepted through the Advance Northumberland website - www.advancenorthumberland.co.uk/business/manufacturing-campaign.
Successful applicants will benefit from fully-funded exhibition space across all three days of the event and will be supported by Advance Northumberland staff, which will provide support and facilitate meeting and networking opportunities over the course of the exhibition. Terms and conditions apply and applications close on Friday 5th April 2019 at 5pm.

Richard Wearmouth, Chair of Advance Northumberland said, “We have a strong manufacturing and engineering sector in Northumberland and it’s fantastic to be able to illustrate that the strength of the supply chain cluster on a national stage. Last year’s event was visited by over 4,000 people so we are offering businesses a great opportunity to showcase what they do and build their network across the sector.

I would encourage all manufacturing and engineering businesses from across the County to apply for this opportunity and showcase the strength of the Northumberland cluster. We are hoping to give five businesses the opportunity to attend SubCon with us and by bringing businesses together, we will be able to showcase Northumberland as a great place to do business.”
