The GX project was launched last year to provide a range of opportunities to North-East SMEs and scaleups before, during and after the Great Exhibition of the North. We are delighted to share details of our exciting programme of activities taking place throughout 2019.

Launch of Grants Scheme Wave 2
Are you a local SME with a project to develop a new product or service and looking for funding? Our innovation grant scheme could be for you if your project is developed enough and you are able to put some of your own funding into it too. During wave 2 of the grants scheme, you can apply for a grant from £1,000 to up to £5,000. The grants will be focussed on supporting companies operating in one of regional smart specialisation sectors and areas of opportunities.
The deadline for Expressions of Interest is Friday 15 February.

2019 Events Programme
The GX project team is currently developing a programme of events, building on the success of the Emerging Tech series and Northern Powerhouse Business Summit in 2018.
To help shape our plans, and ensure that we are delivering a programme which is of benefit to local businesses, we would be grateful if you could take a couple of minutes to complete this short survey.
Tell us how you would benefit from future events

The GX project is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Growth Programme 2014-20 for England.
The GX project is delivered by NewcastleGateshead Initiative in partnership with Innovation SuperNetwork and Newcastle City Council.
