Marketing and Events Coordinator – Business Northumberland
(Full time, 37 Hours per week, fixed term until 31st March 2019)
Up to £22,500 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Marketing and Events Coordinator to join the Business Northumberland team and take overall responsibility for marketing the programmes services across Northumberland and the wider NE LEP region and identifying and acting upon PR opportunities as well as organising and managing all related events.

Business Northumberland is an exciting programme focused on supporting the growth and sustainability of SMEs in Northumberland and the wider North East LEP region. Activity will be delivered using an interactive online platform which will host a number of programmes and online content across a number of economic drivers to support business growth. Online activity will also be complemented with a number of workshops, events and masterclasses held across Northumberland.

Reporting to the Programme Manager, the role will involve providing hands-on marketing support, taking full responsibility for planning and organising Business Northumberland events, development of the website, social media presence and development of all programme related marketing collateral, as well as having a proactive approach to media relationships to develop the programme’s PR opportunities.

In addition and in support of the Business Northumberland team, the role will involve creating and sending out regular external mailshots, gathering and utilising client testimonials as well as ensuring the CRM database is up to date.

You will need to demonstrate exceptional organisational skills, be proactive, and capable of working independently as well as within a wider team. You must have excellent communication and presentation skills. Previous marketing experience or qualifications in marketing is essential.
