If paying for SEO is the best fit for your business then it makes sense.
However, it is important to first consider why you are looking at that option?
I don't know how to optimise my site
If you have identified a skills gap and would like to broaden your knowledge – we’re here to help.
We regularly run SEO workshops – just check out our Events page – where one of our trainers will guide you through what you need to know.
Alternatively, the e-learning on our website has a whole section dedicated to SEO, so you can learn in your own time.
We have a great community in our Facebook group too who are always happy to share their experiences or answer any questions.
I don't have the time to do it myself
Time is a precious resource, especially for small businesses so this is absolutely something that you may choose to outsource.
SEO will take some time to get going and you may simply not have the capacity to deal with it. It's not tricky though, and you may consider still checking out our online support so that when you do meet with your chosen SEO expert, you'll be able to have a much more productive conversation with them.
Choosing to pay someone to do your SEO should be seen in the same way as any other outsourced service - ask them questions - any good SEO will be able to walk you through their process and reassure you about the methods they'll be using to optimise your site.
Choosing the right SEO expert
Remember that web design, web development and SEO are not the same skillset - the fact that someone can build an awesome website does not mean that they are the best person to handle your SEO.
To be clear, nor does it preclude them.
But don't be afraid to ask the question "Have you done this before?" and "Can you share with me the results of similar campaigns you have run before?". These will give you a much better understanding as to who you're choosing to change your web presence.
