Sam Spoors, founder of Morpeth based strategic recruitment company, Talentheads, has thanked Business Northumberland for support with building the company’s digital strategy for 2021 and is now “hooked” thanks to a referral from a fellow female CEO.
Talentheads was established in July 2020 but the start-up isn’t lacking in experience. Business owner Sam has over fifteen years’ experience in the field, working with businesses to help them grow through recruiting and retaining the very best talent for their company.
“I’ve always loved working at a senior level and pushing businesses on, therefore for me supporting Business Owners was something I really wanted to get involved in. I’m hugely passionate about taking responsibility and adding value to a business’s talent strategy.”
Established in a pandemic and looking to make a success of the business, Sam thought about how Talentheads could grow and develop further. Hearing about Business Northumberland through a friend and fellow business owner who had already received support from the programme, Sam reached out.
Within three months of the business being born, Sam had registered Talentheads with Business Northumberland and got to work with the range of free workshops available through the programme. Sam focused on subjects to support with the developing of her online presence, including; content creation, managing website, email marketing and search engine optimisation (SEO).
Business Northumberland provides support to small and medium enterprises across the North East who are looking to sustain and grow their business online. The fully funded support programme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Advance Northumberland, so there is no cost to eligible businesses when accessing the support.
Talentheads is one of over 600 businesses registered to the programme which will now be running until 2023.
“The courses and sessions are genuinely amazing. They have kept me focused and allowed me to upskill. I feel I am a better Business Owner having come across the programmes support.”
“I have gained the support of a fantastic coach, consultancy advice on my digital offering and attended numerous fantastic events through Business Northumberland. Pretty much most of my business strategy for 2021 has come from courses and support I have received through this source.”
Talentheads is now working with the Northumberland Covid Business Response Programme (NCBRP) for a digital marketing campaign to the value of £500 on Google Ads.
NCBRP is a new service for businesses that have been adversely affected by Covid. The Project is funded by the North of Tyne Combined Authority and delivered by Advance Northumberland on behalf of Northumberland County Council and the Northumberland Business Hub.
