Rae Gaukroger, trains and coaches
individuals and groups to help them deliver presentations with “confidence,
credibility and power” as founder of Up Front Presenting she’s thankful to the
Business Northumberland team for the “confidence and courage that comes from
knowing that there is someone out there whose job it is to support my business
in the region”.
After seeing a post on LinkedIn about
Business Northumberland, Rae reached out to a Business Growth Advisor to understand
what support was available to her business.
“I’ve found it very reassuring &
encouraging to have someone who has my agenda as their agenda.”
Business Northumberland provides
support to small and medium enterprises across the North East who are looking
to sustain and grow their business online. The fully funded support programme
is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Advance Northumberland,
so there is no cost to eligible businesses when accessing the support.
Since registering to the programme in
September 2020, Rae has gone on to really utilise the support from the
programme attending and guest speaking at an online networking event, and online
workshops covering topics; Canva, SEO and Social Media and having regular
1-2-1s with a dedicated Business Growth Advisor.
“They say that necessity is the mother
of invention and learning the nuts and bolts of things like email marketing and
Canva gives me the confidence to start using them to benefit my business.
Not knowing can feel daunting but the
programme has been pitched at the right level for me”.
It was through Rae’s Business Growth
Advisor that she heard about the Northumberland Covid Business Response
Up Front Presenting is now receiving 12
hours fully funded coaching from an NBSL coach through funding from Business
Advantage, one of two prongs of the NCBRP programme.
Rae’s coaching is focused on Business
Planning to help leverage her business even further by transforming the
business to be able to provide training and coaching to clients online and video.
“To have input on how to use technology
to connect more effectively with the wider market & existing customers has
been super useful. It’s a massive shift in a short time during great
uncertainty & I’ve been very grateful to have a hand to hold as I’ve been
navigating & continue to navigate through it.”
NCBRP is a new service for businesses
that have been adversely affected by Covid. The Project is funded by the North
of Tyne Combined Authority and delivered by Advance Northumberland on behalf of
Northumberland County Council and the Northumberland Business Hub.
Taking full advantage of the NCBRP programme,
Up Front Presenting is also working with Digital Allies to create a digital
marketing campaign to the value of £500.
