Business Northumberland recently held a week of digital marketing workshops specifically designed for tourism businesses across Northumberland to support them to re-emerge, restart, refresh and recover.
The programme has now received National recognition with other support agencies across the country calling on Business Northumberland to help them take their own support online.
The fully funded business support programme provides support to small and medium enterprises across the North East who are looking to sustain and grow their business online and help them understand how embracing digital technology can transform their business. Business Northumberland is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Advance Northumberland, so there is no cost to eligible businesses when accessing the support.
The expert training, set up by Business Northumberland and delivered by Digital Allies and Lara Mellor Training and Consultancy, ensures local organisations have the opportunity to increase the visibility of their business online, covering 5 key topics; Digital Marketing, Websites & SEO, eCommerce, Social Media and Microsoft Office.
Business Northumberland says: “In light of the current situation and the impact it is having on businesses, I am so proud of the whole team working hard to ensure Business Northumberland can continue to offer digital support to SMEs across the North East, and to help them adapt to the new way of business.”
Looking forward, the support programme plans to deliver a hybrid of online and face to face workshops.
“The feedback from the workshops has been phenomenal, and although staff members and delegates are keen to return to face to face events, the offer of virtual workshops eliminates the geographical issues we often face covering such a large County”.
